Maybe the decision-making process takes a very long time too. I responded to the job posting over three months ago. The only reason that I still have any minuscule shred of hope is because the entire interviewing process has taken so long. I think it's a little silly to take the trouble to arrange multiple interviews and then not provide an answer. Even a quick robotic "sorry but we are unable to offer you a position at this time" would be a relief at this point. I know how busy they might be, and I don't expect some ten page essay about why I wasn't chosen. I'd feel a lot better if they sent some sort of rejection. I just feel kind of crappy that they haven't responded at all. I look forward to hearing from you." I also learned that they're hiring two people. I answered his questions well enough and we got along well, had some similar interests too.
